Last Updated: 28/09/2026

Welcome to LearnMoro.

These Teacher Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to teachers, tutors, lecturers, instructors, and other educators who register with LearnMoro to provide online classes, courses, tutoring, or other educational services to students.

By creating a Teacher account and selecting “I Agree” during registration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and the LearnMoro Privacy Policy.

1About LearnMoro

LearnMoro is an online learning platform that connects Teachers with students and facilitates online learning, class management, student enrolment, and payments.

Teachers are responsible for the educational services and teaching content they provide through LearnMoro.

Registration as a Teacher does not guarantee any minimum number of students, classes, enrolments, bookings, or earnings.

2Teacher Eligibility and Registration

To register as a Teacher on LearnMoro, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • Provide valid identification and contact information when requested.
  • Provide accurate information regarding your educational qualifications, professional qualifications, teaching experience, and subjects offered.
  • Provide supporting certificates or documents if requested by LearnMoro.
  • Provide valid bank account or other supported payment information to receive your earnings.
  • Complete any identity, qualification, safeguarding, or other verification required by LearnMoro.

Teachers are responsible for ensuring that all information provided to LearnMoro remains accurate and up to date.

LearnMoro may verify information and documents submitted by Teachers. LearnMoro reserves the right to reject, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account where information provided is false, misleading, incomplete, inaccurate, or cannot reasonably be verified.

3Teacher Profile

LearnMoro may create a Teacher profile that is visible to students and/or parents or guardians. A Teacher profile may include:

  • Teacher's name;
  • Profile photograph;
  • Subjects or courses offered;
  • Educational and professional qualifications;
  • Teaching experience;
  • Languages;
  • Class availability;
  • Class or course fees;
  • Ratings and reviews; and
  • Other relevant teaching information.

Teachers must ensure that their profile information is accurate and must not make false or misleading claims regarding qualifications, experience, professional status, or teaching capabilities.

4Teacher Responsibilities

Teachers agree to provide educational services professionally and responsibly. Teachers are expected to:

  • Prepare suitable teaching materials before classes.
  • Attend scheduled classes on time.
  • Conduct classes for the agreed duration.
  • Provide accurate and appropriate educational content.
  • Provide teaching suitable for the student's age, educational level, and selected subject or course.
  • Maintain professional behaviour and communication.
  • Treat students, parents or guardians, other Teachers, and LearnMoro representatives respectfully.
  • Maintain an appropriate environment for conducting online classes.
  • Maintain adequate internet connectivity and suitable teaching equipment.
  • Keep class schedules and availability up to date.
  • Inform students and/or LearnMoro as early as reasonably possible if a class must be cancelled or rescheduled.
  • Comply with LearnMoro policies and applicable laws.

Repeated lateness, cancellations, or failure to attend confirmed classes may result in restrictions, suspension, or termination of the Teacher account.

5Student Safety and Professional Conduct

Teachers must maintain appropriate professional boundaries and behave professionally and respectfully towards all students.

Teachers must comply with the LearnMoro Child Safeguarding Policy, which sets out additional requirements and protections applicable to interactions with students under 18 years of age.

Teachers must also comply with LearnMoro's Privacy Policy and other applicable Platform policies relating to student safety, privacy, communications, and use of personal information.

LearnMoro may take appropriate action, including restricting or suspending a Teacher's account, where there is a suspected or actual breach of the Child Safeguarding Policy or a serious concern relating to student safety.

Where appropriate, LearnMoro may request additional verification, references, police clearance, or other relevant documentation for safeguarding or verification purposes.

6Online Classes

Teachers must conduct classes using LearnMoro's online classroom or another online teaching or communication service approved or supported by LearnMoro.

Teachers must not share:

  • Student account information;
  • Private student information;
  • Class access links; or
  • Platform login credentials

with unauthorised persons.

Teachers are responsible for ensuring that their teaching environment and anything visible or audible during an online class are appropriate and professionally suitable. Teachers must take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised persons from accessing or participating in classes.

7Class Scheduling and Attendance

Teachers are responsible for maintaining accurate class schedules and availability on LearnMoro. Once a Teacher confirms a booking, the Teacher is expected to conduct the class at the scheduled date and time.

If a Teacher cannot conduct a scheduled class, the Teacher should provide at least 3 hours' notice, except in emergencies or circumstances outside the Teacher's reasonable control.

LearnMoro may maintain attendance records for Teachers and students for operational, payment, quality assurance, safeguarding, and dispute-resolution purposes.

8Cancellations, Rescheduling and No-Shows

Teacher and student cancellations, rescheduling, missed classes, and no-shows will be handled according to LearnMoro's applicable Cancellation and Refund Policy.

If a Teacher repeatedly cancels confirmed classes without reasonable justification, LearnMoro may restrict future bookings or suspend the Teacher account.

Where a refund is issued to a student for a class that was not properly provided, the corresponding Teacher earnings may be adjusted accordingly.

9Platform Fee

9.1 Standard Platform Fee

LearnMoro charges a 20% Platform Feeon the applicable amount paid by each student for a Teacher's class or course through LearnMoro.

The Platform Fee will be deducted before the remaining amount is credited to the Teacher's available earnings.

10Discounted Platform Fee for More Than 100 Students

Teachers with more than 100 eligible students may qualify for a discounted LearnMoro Platform Fee. The applicable discounted percentage and eligibility requirements will be displayed or communicated to the Teacher by LearnMoro.

LearnMoro may establish different discount levels based on the number of eligible students. For determining eligibility, LearnMoro may consider successfully paid and valid student enrolments.

The following may be excluded from the eligible student count:

  • Cancelled enrolments;
  • Fully refunded enrolments;
  • Unpaid enrolments;
  • Duplicate accounts;
  • Fraudulent transactions; and
  • Invalid or artificial enrolments.

The discounted Platform Fee will apply only after the Teacher satisfies the applicable eligibility requirements and the discounted rate becomes effective on the Teacher's account. Teachers must not create or encourage fraudulent or artificial student enrolments for the purpose of obtaining a discounted Platform Fee.

11Teacher Earnings

Teachers can view their earnings and available balance through their LearnMoro account. Teacher earnings are calculated after deducting:

  • The applicable LearnMoro Platform Fee;
  • Applicable refunds;
  • Payment reversals; and
  • Other amounts that may lawfully be deducted under these Terms.

Only successfully received and cleared student payments will become eligible for withdrawal.

12Withdrawal of Teacher Earnings

Teachers may request withdrawal of their available LearnMoro earnings twice per month. The exact withdrawal dates or applicable withdrawal windows may be displayed within the LearnMoro Platform.

Teachers must submit their withdrawal requests through the withdrawal functionality provided by LearnMoro. Only available and cleared earnings may be withdrawn.

Amounts associated with pending transactions, disputes, refunds, chargebacks, payment verification, or transactions under review may remain unavailable until the matter has been resolved.

13Withdrawal Processing

Approved withdrawal amounts will be transferred to the Teacher's registered bank account or another payment method supported by LearnMoro. The time required for funds to appear in the Teacher's account may depend on the relevant bank or payment service provider.

Where a scheduled processing date falls on a weekend, bank holiday, or public holiday, the withdrawal may be processed on the next applicable business day.

Teachers are responsible for providing accurate payment and bank account information. LearnMoro will not be responsible for delays or failed transfers caused by incorrect or incomplete payment information supplied by the Teacher.

14Refunds, Reversals and Payment Disputes

Where a student receives a valid refund for a Teacher's class or course, LearnMoro may adjust the Teacher's corresponding earnings. If the Teacher has already withdrawn the relevant earnings, LearnMoro may, where permitted by applicable law, deduct the applicable amount from future Teacher earnings or otherwise recover the amount.

Teachers may contact LearnMoro if they believe an earnings adjustment has been made incorrectly.

15Taxes

Teachers are responsible for understanding and meeting their individual tax obligations relating to income earned through LearnMoro.

Where LearnMoro is required by law to deduct, withhold, report, or remit taxes or other statutory amounts, LearnMoro may do so. Teachers may be required to provide information or documentation reasonably necessary for tax or regulatory compliance.

16Payments Outside LearnMoro

Teachers must not intentionally encourage students introduced through LearnMoro to make direct payments outside LearnMoro for the purpose of avoiding applicable Platform Fees.

Teachers must not use LearnMoro to identify or obtain students and then intentionally move those transactions outside the Platform to avoid applicable charges.

Teachers must not encourage students to bypass LearnMoro's booking or payment systems where doing so would circumvent applicable Platform Fees or other Platform requirements. Violation of this requirement may result in restrictions, suspension, or termination of the Teacher account, subject to applicable law.

17Teacher and LearnMoro Relationship

Unless otherwise agreed under a separate written agreement, Teachers provide educational services through LearnMoro as independent service providers. Nothing in these Terms by itself creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between LearnMoro and a Teacher.

Teachers are responsible for how they prepare and deliver their educational services, subject to these Terms, LearnMoro requirements, and applicable law. Registration with LearnMoro does not guarantee any minimum number of students, classes, bookings, or earnings.

The legal nature of the relationship remains subject to applicable Sri Lankan law and the actual circumstances of the arrangement.

18Privacy and Personal Information

Teachers must protect the personal information of students, parents or guardians, and other Platform users. Information obtained through LearnMoro may only be used for legitimate teaching and Platform-related purposes.

Teachers must not sell, publish, disclose, copy, or otherwise misuse student personal information. Teachers must take reasonable steps to protect personal information stored on their computers, mobile devices, email accounts, cloud services, or other systems.

Teachers must not retain or use student personal information for longer than reasonably necessary for the legitimate purpose for which it was obtained. Any suspected or actual unauthorised access, loss, disclosure, or misuse of student information must be reported to LearnMoro promptly.

LearnMoro will process personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable Sri Lankan data-protection requirements.

19Class Recordings

LearnMoro may provide functionality for online classes to be recorded or monitored where permitted by applicable law. Recordings or monitoring may be used for legitimate purposes such as student learning, quality assurance, student safety, investigation of complaints, and platform security.

Teachers must not independently record, photograph, publish, upload, distribute, sell, or commercially use recordings or images containing students without appropriate authorisation and legally required consent.

Teachers must not use LearnMoro class recordings or student images for advertising, social media, promotional activities, or other unrelated purposes without appropriate authorisation.

By uploading teaching materials to LearnMoro, the Teacher grants LearnMoro a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, reproduce, display, transmit, adapt where technically necessary, and make those materials available as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Platform. This licence does not transfer ownership of the Teacher's underlying intellectual property.

21Confidentiality

Confidential information must not be disclosed to unauthorised persons.
